Water Sector Trust Fund (WaterFund) is committed to improving access to sustainable water and sanitation services across counties through collaboration with stakeholders. We prioritise a customer-centric approach and teamwork in our operations to ensure the delivery of impactful, high-quality, and cost-effective projects.
WaterFund uses the Joint Annual Operations Monitoring Exercise (JAOME) to assess project sustainability. JAOME not only evaluates project performance but also enhances transparency by providing valuable lessons learned. The assessment covers parameters such as functionality, revenue collection, longevity, and operational status, offering insights into project outcomes and impacts well beyond the active implementation phase.
The objectives of JAOME include determining the operational status of WaterFund-funded investments, establishing a baseline for tracking project sustainability, presenting detailed geo-referenced data, identifying operational issues, and documenting lessons learned. These insights inform future investment planning and priorities for WaterFund, ensuring a continual focus on delivering successful and sustainable water and sanitation projects.
