Paul Atwa is the Manager, Human Resources and Administration at the Water Sector Trust Fund (WaterFund), having joined the WaterFund in October, 2010.
Mr. Atwa has over 26 years of experience in Human Resources management function having variously served as Senior Human Resources and Administration, Human Resources Officer, Employee Relations officer, Administration Officer, among others, in several state corporations. His areas of achievement include job evaluation, development of human resources policies and procedure manuals, restructuring and reorganisation of public institutions, performance contracting reporting, CBA Negotiations and coordination of all cross-cutting issues.
Mr. Atwa has undertaken the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) and Senior Management Course (SMC) at Kenya School of Government (KSG). Other management courses he has undertaken include Reward Management Programme Course by ESAMI in Durban, South Africa, Good Corporate Governance, Integrity Assurance Officers by EACC, ISO Auditors training and Project Management training by State of Israel.
Others include Training of Trainers in Gender Mainstreaming, Certificate in Kenya Labour Laws, Strategic Project Management, and Finance for Non-Finance Managers. He has also undertaken Strategy Execution with Strategy Maps and Balanced Scorecard Masterclass by Dr Robert Kaplan.
Mr. Atwa’s professional body membership include Institute of Human Resources Management, Kenya (IHRM-K) where he is a full member with valid HR Practicing License, and the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) where is a full member.
Mr. Atwa holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) from Kenyatta University, and a KNEC Postgraduate Higher National Diploma from the Kenya School of Government (KSG). He is currently pursuing an MBA in Human Resource Management from Kenyatta University.
