With funding from the Gatsby Africa, WaterFund is implementing a two-year programme (January 2024 to December 2025) titled “Strengthening Commercial Viability and Financial Flows for WSPs (CVF-Programme)”. The Programme Objective is to strengthen the capacity and improve governance system of 15 selected regulated water utilities in Kenya to enable them to become commercially viable, improve their creditworthiness index and access commercial financing for their service improvement and infrastructural investment and expansion needs.
Through the CVF Programme, several Water Service Providers will receive technical assistance and support from relevant experts towards supporting them to strengthen their financial management capacity, improve their operating cost coverage ratio (OCCR), enhance their commercial viability and support them to develop bankable projects that will be exposed to financial partners for potential investment.
To implement the above, WaterFund is seeking to recruit two (2) Senior WASH Engineers and two (2) Financial Specialists on a one-year temporary basis whose task will be to provide technical assistance to the 15 selected WSPs in 2 teams, each supporting at least 7 WSPs.
These are temporary positions for a period of one year with a possibility of extension depending on the availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
